How well are you? Healthcare professionals spend most of their time asking the question “how are you?” and all the talk now, in terms of trying to deal with the increasingly overwhelming demands on health and social care is about the importance of self-care.
So…..HOW ARE YOU?
Since 2006 there has been a thoroughly evaluated, highly regarded and much-used measurement tool that you can use to provide you with vital information about your state of wellbeing. It is called the Warwick and Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing scale (or WEMWBS for short). It is best used as part of your overall self-care and to inform you as to whether you need help; most of us do – after all, isn’t that why we have each other, as well as trained people and those with lived experience, mates, friends and family to help and guide us on our way?
